Richardson Gifted November meeting – Guest Speaker Marta Mountjoy
Title: Richardson Gifted meeting
Location: RISD PDC at BeltLine & Floyd
Description: This will be our regularly scheduled meeting. Speaker will be Marta Mountjoy. Marta started the gifted program in Garland & speaks all over the country on gifted education. She also does the teacher training for Region 10. Marta will speak to us on ‘How to Become a Positive and Effective Change Agent for GT Students’. We will start the business portion of the meetings at 6:45pm & the speaker will begin at 7:00pm.Ms. Mountjoy wrote the script and activities for Region 10’s revised 5 day GT staff development series, was the designer and district level coordinator of the GT program in Garland ISD from1980-2002, co-designed the Bilingual GT and highly gifted primary student model in Garland ISD, and now mentors new educators.
